Yamaha Van Beers racer, Evgeny Bobryshev, claimed the individual victory
helping Russia to 3rd overall in the Coupe de l’avenir held in Belgium over
the weekend. The event which is likened to the Motocross of Nations sees
many different nations send their best 3 young aspiring riders to compete for
the coveted title of best junior motocross nation.
Bobryshev’s domination started in the first race when he quickly moved passed Dutch youngster, Cyril Klein Kromhof, and
never looked back. ‘Bobi’ posted the fastest lap time of the race and cruised to victory in front of Belgium’s Joel Roelants.
Roelants grabbed the hole-shot in race 2, however Bobryshev hounded the Belgian until the halfway mark when he made
his move and checked out, winning by over 13 seconds.
The final and deciding race would see Bobryshev dominate once again as he pulled off the perfect Hat-trick. He once
again posted the fastest lap of the race leading Roelants home to victory.
