INDIANAPOLIS RESULTS

MONSTER ENERGY AMA SUPERCROSS
ROUND 9, INDIANAPOLIS

The brand new Lucas Oil Stadium built right across the street from where the RCA Dome once stood was host to 61,538
fans at round nine of the AMA Supercross Championship in Indianapolis, Ind.  The RCA Dome saw 17 years of AMA
supercross racing before giving way to the new stadium.  The ninth round officially puts the 2009 season past the halfway
mark, with seven races left before the season finale in Las Vegas, Nev. on May 8.

Cody Cooper is getting more comfortable with supercross but did not qualify for the main event in Indianapolis.  Cooper, an
accomplished outdoor motocross rider is eagerly awaiting the start of the Lucas Oil Motocross Championship on May 23 in
San Bernardino, Calif. when he will be in his element and ready to challenge for podiums as he did last year.

Josh Grant transferred directly to the main from his heat race.  Grant started the main event in sixth place.  Over the
following 20 laps Grant moved his YZ450F steadily toward the front and into fourth place at the checkers.  Grant’s finish
moved the rookie up one position from last week to fourth in series points.  After nine rounds the Supercross Class (450cc)
standings are:

1. James Stewart 199 (seven wins (a tie is broken by number of wins))
2. Chad Reed 199 (one win)
3. Andrew Short 150
4. Josh Grant 138 (one win)
5. Ryan Villopoto 138
